Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. Our team is looking for an Engineering Manager at our Chatsworth Location. The Engineering Manager is responsible for all technical aspects relating to the support of various product lines within the Microwave Systems and MRO Valaue Stream, reporting directly to the Director of Engineering.

• Manage and lead the Manufacturing and Process Engineers within the Microwave Systems & MRO Value Stream, fostering collaboration and communication across the enterprise.
• Oversee engineering deliverables covering the full lifecycle of the program/project as required by the program scope/business, including optimizing manufacturing efficiency through design for manufacturing methodologies and resolving obsolescence.
• Provide technical support to the supply base and lead cross‑functional teams within the IPT framework.
• Define and deliver the customer requirements and project definition, closely following change with attention to technical and contractual impacts.
• Maintain proactive customer‑driven attitude, develop relationships based on transparency and trust, and act as the technical interface with customers.
• Communicate across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment at working and management levels.
• Collaborate closely with engineering managers to ensure on‑time delivery of engineering commitments and/or technical project support.
• Comply with engineering processes and methodologies, and manage technical interface, communication, and escalation between internal and external customers.
• Evaluate, manage, mitigate, and close technical risks, resolving issues that prevent progression of technical work scope at the IPT level in a timely manner.

• Electronic Engineering degree.
• Strong System Engineering skills with 7-10 years of experience.
• Ability to learn new products quickly and possess overall knowledge of existing products on site.
• Broad engineering knowledge of Microwave Systems, Power Supplies, Command
  - Control-Telemetry, Electrical Systems, and a strong electro‑mechanical aptitude background in microwave radar and satcom systems.
• Strong project management skills with a minimum of 5 years of customer‑facing experience (a plus).
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and guidelines.
• Demonstrated track record of developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for small to mid‑size projects.

Pay Range: $150,000 to $175,000.
