Position SummarySystems Engineer within the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Mission Area, designing and developing advanced radar and early‑warning sensor systems that support U.S. military forces worldwide.
Responsibilities- Contribute to all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, including trade studies, development of CONOPS, system architecture, requirements definition and allocation, traceability, integration, verification, and qualification.
- Support development, analysis, documentation, and verification of system requirements using DOORS.
- Develop radar mode algorithms and perform system performance assessments.
- Conduct modeling, simulation, and data analysis using MATLAB, Python, and C++.
- Perform daily tasks in a classified and controlled laboratory environment.
- Participate in hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and hands‑on laboratory testing.
- Support verification, validation, flight test, production, and post‑deployment activities.
- Perform trade studies, functional/physical analyses, and MBSE‑based system design.
- Prepare and present technical reports, findings, and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) – preferably Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical, Applied Mathematics, or Physics.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering with radar algorithm design, requirements development, software/hardware integration, data analysis using MATLAB, and configuration management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.
- Experience with DOORS (or similar requirements management tools).
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Advanced (master’s or higher) degree in a STEM discipline.
- Strong fundamentals in radar systems.
- Proficient programming skills in Python and MATLAB.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic and/or system‑level issues, including signal processing, control theory, statistics, information theory, detection methods, imaging/pattern recognition, and data filtering (Kalman, batch, optimal estimation).
Salary range: $75,800 – $144,200 annually. Eligible for relocation assistance.
