Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, with expertise in airplane structures, production readiness and composite fabrication. In this role you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the stand‑up of a composite fabrication center within the BDS Fabrication organization.

Position Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle structures with composite fabrication parts.
- Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
- Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and assembly considerations.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active)
- 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience).
- 1+ years of experience in composite fabrication.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers.
- Experience with 3D model‑based instruction.
- Experience with Siemens NX, IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA.
- Experience with Vis Mockup, Pro Model, Flex Sim, 3D Printed Parts, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi‑Monitor Collaborative Rooms, rapid prototyping or manufacturing.
- Experience leading Full Size Determinant Assembly (FSDA) development/deployment activity.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System-specific image (MESci).
- Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.).

Summary Pay Range: $126,650 - $171,350
