POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking a dedicated CAD Operator/Designer with at least 5 years of shipyard production experience. The candidate will ensure that the design product and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications, prepare BOM (Bills of Material), and consult with vendors on project related activities.
REQUIREMENTS- Minimum of 5 years of shipyard production experience
- Must have the knowledge of AutoCAD/Ship Constructor
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft applications (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word) is required
- Experience or training in using computer-aided design software is a plus
- Preforms supervised mark‑ups
- Develops detailed drawings based on applicable specifications
- Works order instructions under the supervision and direction of an Engineer
- The Designer will also coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications
