Our Bay Area office is growing, and we need a highly skilled Senior Structural BIM Designer to join our busy team. If you have eight or more years of experience, can perform design work without supervision, and train and supervise junior CAD designers and BIM modelers, you may be just who we are looking for.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in:

• The latest releases of AutoCAD designing and Revit modeling practices.
• Setting up, producing, and updating AutoCAD and Revit projects.
• Developing and maintaining CAD standards, Revit Families and CAD/Revit template files.
• Coordinating collaborative Revit projects among multiple disciplines and interfacing with Architectural design teams.
• Customizing and maintaining company and third-party Revit content.
• Supporting and leading design and drawing package development on multidiscipline projects.
• Coordinating with clients and outside design team members on drafting standards and file exchanges.
• Coordinating design submittals. You will publish drawings in multiple formats and deliver or upload digital files to clients.
• Providing quality assurance of final design packages and upload into client document management systems.

The position is hybrid where the staff are in-person three days a week (minimum) and have the option to work remotely two days a week. The optional remote workdays of the week are currently Monday and Friday. These guidelines are reassessed periodically.

Expected Salary Range: $85,000 - $

• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
• Hybrid Work Schedule(subject to change).
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.

• Graduated from a certified CAD training program or a Technical/Associate degree in engineering or related science (preferred)
• 8 or more years of structural Revit experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

The Bay Area office of Coffman Engineers was established in 2014 after Coffman had been providing engineering services in this area for many years.
