We are seeking an experienced Residential Solar Project Manager to lead residential solar and battery-storage projects from contract handoff through installation, inspection, utility interconnection, and final completion.

Position Summary

The Residential Solar Project Manager will oversee multiple projects and collaborate with customers, engineers, permitting authorities, utilities, installation teams, electricians, subcontractors, and suppliers. We welcome candidates with at least five years of solar or electrical experience, strong project management skills, practical knowledge of residential construction and electrical systems, and familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable California electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential solar and battery-storage projects from planning through final permission to operate.
  • Coordinate site surveys, engineering, permitting, procurement, installation, inspection, and utility interconnection.
  • Develop project schedules and ensure milestones, deliverables, and customer commitments are met.
  • Review electrical plans, construction drawings, equipment specifications, and single-line diagrams.
  • Coordinate electricians, installation crews, subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, inspectors, and utility representatives.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor requirements, material availability, and overall project performance.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers and provide timely project-status updates.
  • Identify and resolve technical, permitting, scheduling, installation, and customer-related issues.
  • Ensure installations comply with applicable electrical codes, building requirements, safety standards, and Soleeva’s quality-control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate project files, permit records, inspection documentation, change orders, and closeout packages.
  • Conduct site visits and verify installation quality and project readiness when required.
  • Support the continuous improvement of Soleeva’s residential solar project-delivery processes.

Required Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience in residential solar, electrical construction, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience managing or coordinating residential solar or electrical projects.
  • Working knowledge of photovoltaic systems, residential electrical systems, and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, construction drawings, and single-line diagrams.
  • Experience coordinating permits, inspections, and utility interconnection processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects and competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with project-management platforms and Microsoft Office or similar business software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with residential battery-storage systems and energy-management equipment.
  • Familiarity with California building and electrical requirements, permitting authorities, and utility interconnection procedures.
  • Experience working with PG&E and other California utilities.
  • PMP, NABCEP, electrical, solar, or construction-related certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, renewable energy, or a related field.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $65,000–$85,000 per year
. Final compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, education, technical knowledge, and overall qualifications.
