We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer
to join our CSGt
eam located at our headquarters in Chesterfield, MO
. Our ideal candidate for a Mechanical Engineer
is s omeo newith 5+ years of experience in Mechanical/HVAC design.

Primary responsibilities for icon’s Mechancial Engineer include:

Performing heating and cooling load calculations to support HVAC system design, equipment selection, and ductwork sizing on design-build, plan-spec, and retrofit projects.

Developing equipment layouts and ductwork designs for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.

Producing and revising design and coordination drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and addenda to ensure engineered solutions meet design intent, code requirements, and owner expectations.

Coordinating with project managers, field teams, and other trades to support a smooth transition from design to construction.

Supporting value engineering efforts and evaluating design alternatives during preconstruction.

Assisting with equipment selection, submittal review, and coordination with vendors and manufacturers’ representatives.

Primary qualifications for icon’s Mechanical Engineer include:

Preferred bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical design, drafting, and coordination.

Estimating knowledge and experience is a plus — we will train the right candidate.

Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills.

Possesses a strong personal commitment for long‑term and meaningful goals.

Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with changing priorities.

Demonstrate confidence in their knowledge and is committed to researching the answers and finding the right solution for things they do not know.

Strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to present oneself in a professional manner.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000
