* We're seeking a motivated Drafter to join a growing engineering team supporting electrical substation projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and designers, develop specialized technical skills, and gain exposure to projects that directly impact the power grid.

What You'll Do

+ Create and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD.

+ Support the design of new substation projects, facility upgrades, and maintenance initiatives.

+ Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project teams.

+ Help ensure drawings are accurate, organized, and aligned with project requirements.

+ Learn the reasoning behind engineering decisions, not just the drafting process.

+ Grow your technical knowledge and take on increasing design responsibilities over time.

What We're Looking For

+

Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD.

+ 0-5 years of drafting, CAD, or design experience.

+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.

+ Detail-oriented and comfortable working with technology.

+ Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.

+ Someone who asks questions, seeks understanding, and wants to grow professionally.

Bonus Points If You Have

+ Utility, power, consulting engineering, or construction-related experience.

+ Exposure to Micro Station, Inventor, or other design software.

+ Interest in electrical systems, infrastructure, or engineering design.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
