This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies. Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build. Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization. Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Resolves complex technical problems. Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.

Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities. Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and communicates producibility best practices. Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking Senior Experienced Manufacturing Engineers to support multiple programs in Hazelwood, MO

Position Overview:

We are looking for Experienced Manufacturing Engineers, with expertise in airplane subsystems, production readiness and composite fabrication. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient production of our world-class aerospace products, including advanced platforms for our Fighter Jet programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle subsystems.
  • Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
  • Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews and lead manufacturability and assembly decisions.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9 + years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 7+ years of work-related experience with a Masters Degree OR work-related experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • B.S. or higher in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Composite Fabrication experience
  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
  • Experience with 3D model based instruction
  • Experience with any of the following: IVT, CREO, CATIA, NX, IPDM Teamcenter, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA,
  • Vis Mockup, Pro Model, Flex Sim, 3D Printed Parts, Moonshine Shop, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi-Monitor Collaborative Rooms, Enterprise Standard Gated Process
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
  • Experience with CINCOM
  • Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.)
