Portfolio Energy & Strategy Manager

• Serve a single client as a member of a large, global sustainability team
• Report to the Americas sustainability team lead
• Develop and execute energy management strategies for a portfolio of sites
• Implement comprehensive energy, water, and waste management programs
• Act as subject matter expert on energy and sustainability topics
• Support corporate reporting objectives and provide management information on utilities and environmental impacts
• Manage energy, waste, and water data collection in JLL’s technology platform
• Produce monthly and quarterly reports tailored to client requirements
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve energy and sustainability performance across real estate portfolios
• Collaborate with JLL energy managers to share best practices, develop case studies, and develop new business opportunities
• Engage with JLL facility managers as key point of contact for environmental sustainability advice
• Develop and enhance sustainability performance systems and processes
• Provide technical training and mentor junior colleagues
• Lead the technical support team to solve complex problems, prioritize deadlines, and identify innovative solutions

• University Degree (Science, engineering, math, or related fields)
• 5-10 years of experience working in the Energy/Sustainability field with progressively increasing responsibilities
• Specialized technical understanding of common HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems and their impact on sustainability goals
• Advanced understanding of energy and water conservation measures
• Strong ability to analyze corporate portfolios by benchmarking and reviewing utility data
• Advanced understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting
• Familiarity with energy procurement processes and renewable energy options
• Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others
• Ability to lead technical support teams, solve complex problems, prioritize deadlines, and think strategically
• Experience conducting site walkthroughs to find conservation measures (e.g., ASHRAE Level 1 and
  2)
• Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
• Experience preparing tenders and work orders and selecting appropriate equipment and service vendors
• Specialized knowledge of environmental reporting, utility management, energy budgets, environmental improvement programs, and ISO 14001 compliance
• Experience working with multifunctional teams
• Experience managing small teams of energy and sustainability professionals
• Track record of developing and executing carbon footprint reduction and landfill diversion programs
• Experience with utility and sustainability management systems for monitoring and reporting
• Background working with Integrated Facilities Management teams on sustainability initiatives
• Ability to think strategically, simplify complex issues, solve complex problems, and see the big picture
• Learning agility with intellectual curiosity and appetite for risks
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Demonstrates expertise in energy management strategies, sustainability performance systems, and environmental reporting. Proven ability to lead technical support teams, analyze utility data, and implement conservation measures across real estate portfolios.
