The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is part of Caterpillar’s Power & Energy segment. Through this global organization, Caterpillar designs and manufacture large (greater than 18 liters) diesel and natural gas engines, powertrains and key engine systems. LPSD products and solutions support customers across power generation, industrial, marine, oil & gas, rail, services and Cat® machine applications worldwide.

This key Engineering Project Team Leader role is in the Large Power Systems Division G3600 Platform group. The Platform Team has design control ownership for the system level of engines components, software, and performance. Responsibilities span across new product introduction, current product improvement, supplier and supply chain support, and manufacturing support.

• Shop support for build and quality issues
• Engineering change management
• Build Quality governance

  Knowledge of tools and techniques of specialized graphics programs; ability to produce, analyze, simulate and test product design drafts.
• Product Design – MFG :
  Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.
• Product Design and Development :
  Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

• 2 yr technical degree on greater

• G3600 Engine experience
• Engine/Package Testing experience
• Knowledge of and experience in BIQ, AQE processes
• Factory Standard Work

• Location of this position is in Lafayette, IN or NC Winston-Salem
