Location: Maryland Heights

Position Summary

The Scorekeeper & Arena Attendant position reports directly to the Hockey Program Manager. Scorekeepers operate the scoreboard, track and record goals, shots, and penalties on a score sheet, use a tablet to play music during stoppages, and assist in moving nets for ice cuts. Arena attendants monitor and assist customers, issue skates, ensure safe skating, and provide a world‑class hockey experience. This role will pay $15.00–$17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Use control board for scoreboard.
  • Coordinate with on‑ice officials to start, operate, and record a hockey game.
  • Maintain a legible, concise, and accurate score sheet.
  • Provide accurate stats to league statistician.
  • Check players in by number and/or name on the score sheet.
  • Assist ice resurfacing team by moving nets for ice cuts.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the area.
  • Interact positively with all departments: referees, players, coworkers, and guests.
  • Safeguard company property, access, and assets.
  • Monitor and assist skating customers.
  • Serve as first point of contact in case of injury.
  • Welcome customers, issue skates, advise proper fit and lacing techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to skate is recommended (arena attendant shifts only).
  • Self‑motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Willing to serve as off‑ice official for hockey games.
  • General knowledge of hockey.
  • Sound judgment and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use a phone or tablet to play music and enter an online score sheet.
