Position: Dealer - Poker (Part -Time)
Location: California

The Dealer – Poker & Blackjack is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while professionally dealing poker and blackjack games. This role ensures accuracy in game procedures, handles wagers and payouts correctly, and maintains compliance with all internal controls and gaming regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deals poker games while seated at assigned tables, maintaining game integrity and control of betting activity.
  • Manages the plot, collects casino commission (vig), and exchanges guest currency for chips in accordance with procedures.
  • Deals blackjack games while seated at assigned tables, ensuring smooth gameplay and enforcing house rules.
  • Pays out winning wagers and collects losing bets based on established payout schedules.
  • Answers guest questions regarding blackjack rules and poker room promotions.
  • Maintains the integrity of playing cards and follows all policies related to card handling and security.
  • Opens and closes games as directed.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, state and tribal gaming regulations, and federal laws including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Follows Title 31 procedures and departmental standards for both poker and blackjack operations.
  • Provides courteous, professional guest service throughout all interactions.
  • Performs other job‑related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate high professional ethics.
  • Knowledgeable in poker rules, gameplay, and room procedures.
  • Skilled in dealing blackjack with a solid understanding of all game regulations.
  • Ability to accurately handle chips and currency in a fast‑paced gaming environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact diplomatically with guests and team members.
  • Must display a high regard for guest service and team collaboration.
EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited dealer school or formal training in poker and blackjack is required.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience dealing both poker and blackjack in a regulated casino environment.
  • Proficient in game procedures, rules, and customer service standards for poker and blackjack.
  • Ability to handle cards and chips accurately and efficiently while maintaining game integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
  • Must be able to maintain composure in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in accordance with regulatory requirements.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS

Must successfully pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.
