Overnight Front Office Attendant

Position Summary

Front Office Attendant with Big Cedar Lodge is responsible for delivering friendly and professional service while ensuring guest satisfaction when interacting with every guest.

• Greet guests and visitors with a professional, friendly demeanor, handle guest registration, room assignments, and payment processing.
• Answer calls promptly and professionally, routing calls and messages accurately to appropriate departments or individuals.
• Stay updated on company policies and offerings; provide guests with accurate information about services, amenities, and local attractions.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy, efficiency, and confidentiality; escalates issues when necessary to maintain satisfaction.
• Maintain records, logs, and reports as required; manage bookings, reservations, and occasional cancellations using the company‑assigned software, troubleshoot or escalations as needed.
• Uphold partnership across the company to streamline communications and understand role impacts.
• Own the Registration and affiliate desks for cleanliness and brand standards.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Minimum degree:
  High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred:
  High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Years of experience:
  Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required.

• Regularly walks, stands, and does computer work.
• Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
• Seldom/Never sits.

• Writing – Communicating effectively in writing.
• Basic computer skills – Using basic computer hardware and software.
• Reading comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs.
• Oral comprehension – Listening to and understanding spoken information.
• Clerical – Knowledge of administrative procedures, file management, etc.
• Analytical/critical thinking – Gathering and organizing information, problem solving.
• Customer and personal service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Originality – Ability to develop creative solutions.

Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
