Conduct background investigations for suitability of licensing on all gaming related employees and casino vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)- Conduct in-depth background investigations on all casino employees and vendors in order to assess their ability to be licensed.
- Prepare licensing reports for review by the Director of Backgrounds Licensing.
- Conduct interviews with prospective employees hired by the casino.
- Conduct phone interviews with vendors.
- Assist in maintaining file storage, and contents of employee/vendor files.
- Administrative support as needed.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of two years related experience in conducting background investigations; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Strong computers skills (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Must be able to type 45 wpm.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. The individual may be subjected to a smoke-filled environment. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will elevate when located in the casino environment.
Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25lbs on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
