Reports To

Recreation Manager / Director of Recreation

Responsibilities
  • Proper cash handling procedures including point of sale transactions, balancing daily receipts, bank balances, completing all closing reports and deposits.
  • Greet guests and assist them in the bowling process: ringing up each transaction and providing proper shoe sizes, score cards and scoring directions as well as overseeing lane maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean facility and work area.
  • Promote a safe work environment by documenting unsafe areas or practices with written records and work orders when needed.
  • Restock redemption items and tickets in the games.
  • Assist guests promptly and hospitably.
  • Document needed game repairs and communicate with Engineering and the supervisor when games are not working properly.
  • Oversee guests and their use of the facilities to ensure safety at all times.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates and vendors.
  • Strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with guests, staff and on the phone.
  • Ability to follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Completes projects and assignments thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
  • Adjusts to high‑pressure conditions and is open to change.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
  • Conducts oneself professionally at all times.
  • Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally.
  • Actively listens to others.
  • Conveys company information, decisions, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
Physical Requirements
  • Minimum pulling and lifting of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to push, bend, stoop, reach upward, and have manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, and speaking capabilities.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
