Job Description
The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Slot Supervisor will be responsible for the successful operation of the slot floor and the casino beverage department during their assigned shift, verifying jackpots and ensuring compliance with all internal controls and gaming regulations.
Responsibilities- Provides exceptional guest service and positively affects interactions with guests and employees.
- Develops and maintains positive guest relations and ensures the safety and security of all guests.
- Reports to the Slot Manager/Slot Shift Manager for successful performance of assigned duties.
- Supervises the Slot Attendants and the Casino Beverage Department.
- Reviews staffing levels to maintain budgeted and forecasted levels of employment.
- Trains Slot Attendants and assists them on the floor as needed.
- Handles hiring, evaluation, coaching, and discipline of employees.
- Familiarizes with departmental financial data.
- Handles guest relations and minor guest disputes.
- Creates a clean, safe, friendly, and fun atmosphere for all guests and employees.
- Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.
- Ability to use all equipment associated with the position.
- Proficient management skills and ability to build professional relationships with personnel from various departments.
- Capacity to troubleshoot, solve complex problems, and analyze departmental needs for results.
- Completes slot‑related paperwork with minimal errors.
- Reads and writes simple instructions and interprets regulatory documents.
- Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations, special events, and promotional activities.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Accurately performs assigned duties under frequent time pressures and interruptive environments.
- Assumes overall responsibility of the gaming floor in the absence of the Slot Shift Manager.
- Works irregular schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Moves effectively and efficiently throughout the slot floor (sitting 10%, walking 70%, standing 10%, bending/lifting 10%—lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Exposed to electricity and varying temperatures.
- Works in a brightly lit, smoke-filled casino environment with noise levels.
- Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude at all times.
- Completes company-required training modules.
- Acts as a customer experience owner, consistently delighting guests.
- Complies with drug and alcohol free workplace and is subject to post‑offer, for‑cause, and post‑accident drug tests.
- 2–5 years experience in Slots/Gaming preferred.
- 2‑year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to maintain a Missouri Level II Gaming license.
