Location: California

Under the direction of the Shift Manager or Assistant Shift Manager, the Pit Manager – Table Games is responsible for the oversight of live table games and supervisory staff during assigned shifts. This role ensures compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, guest satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency within the Table Games Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with scheduling and supervision of dealers and floor supervisors during assigned shifts.
  • Oversees live games to ensure adherence to all internal controls and Title 31 procedures.
  • Maintains security of the casino’s assets and integrity of all games in the pit area.
  • Provides support and guidance to team members; documents and enforces disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Fills and credits chip trays as directed; maintains chip inventory levels.
  • Prepares administrative documents including PAFs, logs, rotation schedules, and time sheet verifications.
  • Ensures timely processing of logs, reports, and required documentation.
  • Collaborates with other departments and shifts to maintain operational consistency and effective communication.
  • Informs Shift or Assistant Shift Manager of any game or guest irregularities.
  • Provides coaching and leadership to ensure high levels of team member performance and guest service.
  • Ensures compliance with all table games policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides direction, coaching, and performance oversight to dealers and floor supervisors.
  • Recruits, trains, and evaluates team members in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Enforces grooming standards, job expectations, and operational procedures.
  • Maintains a legal, professional, and safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced knowledge of table games operations, rules, and house procedures.
  • Familiarity with gaming regulations, Title 31, and internal control policies.
  • Proficient in PC-based software, including scheduling and reporting systems.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.
EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Completion of certified dealer and supervisory training programs is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in table games operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or pit management role.
  • Extensive knowledge of table game rules, procedures, protection strategies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage pit staff, oversee multiple games, and ensure smooth, efficient, and fair operations.
  • Experience handling player disputes, coaching dealers and floor supervisors, and preparing shift reports.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills in a fast-paced casino environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license in accordance with regulatory requirements.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.

LANGUAGE

SKILLS:

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.
