Bunge is seeking a highly motivated corporate finance professional who is excited to work in a high-paced environment, applying corporate finance theory to real business challenges within Bunge’s Global Treasury team.
Treasury is a global function within Bunge that manages the Company’s capital structure, ensures the Company has adequate capital, manages currency and interest rate risk, supports strategic transformation, and supports day-to-day operations. The role will interact with internal (regional and global) and external (banks, investment advisors, rating agencies, etc.) stakeholders. The function works closely with the executive leadership team and other finance areas including tax, FP&A and business development.
The role offers opportunity to grow in the treasury function and the broader finance organization for the right candidate.
- Capital Markets Strategy & Execution: Manage and support the design, strategy, and execution of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and equity transactions, actively participating in all issuance activities including marketing, legal documentation, pricing, and hedging.
- Collaborate with banking partners to structure and execute capital market transactions, monitor market conditions, and identify financing solutions aligned with company objectives.
- Support the management of the Commercial Paper (CP) program, including coordinating with dealers to optimize issuance strategy and ensure efficient execution.
- Participate in the execution and ongoing management of bank debt facilities as needed.
- Monitor global financial and credit market trends and provide actionable insights to management.
- Credit Rating Management & Strategy: Assist treasury leadership in managing rating agency relationships.
- Monitor credit rating agency publications and analyses of the industry and competitors; assess potential impact and recommend proactive strategies.
- Serve as the internal expert on credit rating methodologies, providing analysis on rating implications of strategic initiatives and planned corporate actions.
- Calculate capital deployment capacity and assess rating implications of proposed capital allocation strategies.
- Corporate Finance Analytics: Collaborate with FP&A to develop and maintain Bunge's strategic finance model supporting capital allocation and external financial communications.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support for corporate finance initiatives, including developing and managing complex financial models and cross-functional collaboration for insights.
- Deliver analytical support for affiliate financing activities, evaluating profitability, cash flow, tax implications, sovereign risk, and currency exposures.
- Lead interest expense forecasts, monitor funding mix across regions, and develop monthly cash flow projections for liquidity planning.
- Develop risk-adjusted cost of capital metrics (WACC, etc.) and ensure understanding and application throughout the organization.
- Support treasury reporting, including materials for Board and management, and external disclosures related to treasury activities.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field is required; master’s preferred.
- 2-5 years of treasury or related financial discipline experience.
- Basic knowledge of financial markets, treasury operations, and risk management principles.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret instructions and solve practical problems in a variable environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic; self-starter.
