Workday Consultant – Prism Analytics, Banking Operations

Rosemont, IL

Hybrid role (Fully remote; Chicagoland candidates preferred with openness to working in-office)

Contract:

6–12 months

ABOUT

THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a Workday Consultant specializing in Prism Analytics to support a major Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) modernization initiative within banking operations. This contract role (6–12 months, fully remote with preference for Chicagoland candidates) focuses on the end-to-end ingestion, transformation, and integration of third-party financial data—including deposits, loans, investments, debt, and other balance sheet categories—into Workday Prism Analytics, with downstream integration into Empyrean for enhanced profitability, forecasting, and treasury analytics.

The consultant will collaborate closely with Treasury, Finance, and Data Engineering teams to ensure accurate, scalable, and controlled data flows supporting FTP methodologies, balance sheet forecasting, and enterprise performance management. This role requires hands-on expertise in designing and optimizing Prism pipelines, mapping legacy data structures, enabling FTP frameworks, building automated integration flows, developing analytics and dashboards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workday Prism Analytics, data modeling, ETL design, and SQL, with 3–5+ years of relevant experience in banking or financial services data, and a solid understanding of banking operations, balance sheet management, and regulatory reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Ingest, cleanse, and transform large volumes of third-party financial data (deposits, loans, investments, debt instruments, etc.) into Workday Prism Analytics.
  • Design and optimize Prism pipelines to ensure data quality, consistency, lineage, and auditability.
  • Map legacy system data structures to Workday Financials and Empyrean data models.
  • Support the design and implementation of updated Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) frameworks, methodologies, and calculations by ensuring accurate upstream data transformation.
  • Ensure Prism outputs meet the dimensionality and granularity requirements for Empyrean’s FTP engines, scenario modeling, and profitability workflows.
  • Partner with Treasury to validate that FTP assumptions and calculation inputs—rates, betas, durations, behavioral models—are properly sourced and governed.
  • Build and maintain automated integration flows from Workday Prism to Empyrean, ensuring compatibility with forecast, scenario, and valuation modules.
  • Develop reconciliation processes between Workday, Prism datasets, and Empyrean staging environments.
  • Troubleshoot integration errors and collaborate with Empyrean/IT to optimize interfaces, schemas, and transformation logic.
  • Develop analytics, dashboards, and reports supporting FTP-related reporting, profitability analysis, and balance sheet forecasting.
  • Build dashboards and reports combining workstream data from Workday, Prism, Treasury systems, and Empyrean outputs.
  • Support CFO/Treasury with ad-hoc analysis related to FTP impact, rate strategies, and liquidity planning.
  • Configure and support Workday Financials, Accounting Center, and Prism for banking use cases.
  • Work with Finance, Treasury, Data Engineering, and Technology teams to align business rules, data definitions, and governance standards.
  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory and audit requirements, including data controls and model governance.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Strong expertise with Workday Prism Analytics, Workday Reporting, data modeling, ETL design, and SQL.
  • 3–5+ years of experience with Workday Financials/Prism, preferably in banking or financial services data (deposits, lending, treasury, ALM, FTP).
  • Prism Analytics and Workday Reporting certification strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of banking operations, balance sheet management, Treasury, FTP processes, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience designing and optimizing Prism pipelines for data quality, consistency, lineage, and auditability.
  • Ability to map legacy system data structures to Workday Financials and Empyrean data models.
  • Experience building and maintaining automated integration flows between Workday Prism and Empyrean.
  • Ability to develop analytics, dashboards, and reports for FTP-related reporting and profitability analysis.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Finance, Treasury, Data Engineering, and Technology teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and audit requirements, including data controls and model governance.
