CFO

The Chief Financial Officer serves as a strategic leader overseeing all financial operations of the organization, ensuring fiscal integrity, compliance, and long‑term sustainability. This role partners closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and program leadership to support mission‑driven decision‑making.

• Provide strategic financial leadership, forecasting, and analysis to guide organizational planning and growth
• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls
• Lead annual budgeting and multi‑year financial planning processes
• Manage grant accounting, reporting, compliance, and funder audits
• Oversee contract management, including review, compliance, and financial tracking
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Supervise finance staff and support professional development
• Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, funders, and regulatory agencies
• Present financial updates and insights to the Board and Finance Committee
• Strengthen systems, policies, and procedures to support operational efficiency

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
• 8+ years of progressive nonprofit financial leadership experience
• Strong expertise in grant management, restricted funds, and government contracts
• Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate financial information for non‑financial stakeholders
• Experience managing teams and improving financial systems
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment within the Los Angeles
