Accounting Manager

This Fortune 500 company is looking for an Accounting Manager with strong public company exposure/experience (from public accounting or from industry). This is a chance to join an industry leader and work amongst an A+ team in Orange County.

• Financial Management: Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and compliant.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; provide variance analysis to explain the "why" behind the numbers.
• Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
• Audit & Tax: Coordinate with external auditors for year-end reviews and assist with tax preparation and compliance.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and implement automated solutions to scale with the business.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

  Skills:
  
  Advanced proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, etc.)
• Knowledge: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ability to move through the general ledger efficiently for multiple entities and reporting structure

• CPA or CMA certification is preferred, but not required
• A knack for simplifying complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
