Location: San Francisco or Silicon Valley

A leading global firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate to join its respected Tax practice in San Francisco, with the option to sit in Silicon Valley. This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated transactional work across premier public and private companies, private funds, portfolio companies, and alternative investment vehicles.

• Advise on tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, fund formations, limited partner investments, and a broad range of transactional structures.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex transactional documents with precision and commercial awareness.
• Manage deal components, ensuring alignment across interconnected agreements and broader commercial goals.
• Collaborate directly with partners and colleagues across corporate, funds, and finance teams while maintaining autonomy over core work streams.

• A midlevel associate with 3-6 years of transactional tax experience from a respected law firm.
• Strong technical grounding in corporate and partnership taxation, including experience with investment fund structures and transactional tax planning.
• Skilled in deal management, drafting, negotiation and complex analytical work.
• A clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate independently.
• Member of the California Bar (required).

Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000

Total compensation may include bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package covering medical, financial and paid leave offerings.
