OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Associate to join our investment team, focusing on opportunities within the Power & Renewables Services sector. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle, partnering with management teams and senior leadership to identify, evaluate, and execute investments in a rapidly growing and evolving market.
The Associate will play a key role in sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio management, with a particular emphasis on services businesses supporting renewable generation, grid infrastructure, energy transition, and decarbonization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Investment Execution- Evaluate investment opportunities across power & renewables services subsectors (e.g., O&M providers, EPC services, grid services, field services, technical services, specialty contractors, asset management services, and related platforms).
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, operating models, and valuation analyses.
- Lead financial analysis, scenario modeling, and return sensitivity analysis.
- Coordinate and manage third-party diligence providers (commercial, financial, legal, technical, environmental).
- Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to the Investment Committee.
- Conduct thematic research and market mapping across the power & renewables services landscape.
- Develop relationships with bankers, intermediaries, executives, and industry participants.
- Proactively identify and evaluate proprietary and limited-process opportunities.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value-creation initiatives.
- Assist in board materials preparation and strategic analysis.
- Support add-on acquisitions and recapitalization processes.
- 1–3 years of experience in investment banking and/or private equity, with demonstrated transaction experience.
- Direct experience within the power, renewables, infrastructure, or energy transition sectors
, ideally with exposure to services-oriented business models. - Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (LBO modeling proficiency required).
- Experience supporting or leading due diligence processes.
- High level of intellectual curiosity and strong interest in energy transition and decarbonization themes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; strong academic performance preferred.
