Position Summary
Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman is seeking a Senior Tax Staff Accountant with ideally entertainment business management experience to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Senior Tax Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation and review of various reports in support of servicing clients, preparation of simple to moderately complex tax returns, as well as tax projections and tax research. Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, including potentially in‑office for 3+ days per week.
This role is hybrid out of our Century City, CA office.
- Prepare and review individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returns
- Review General Ledger and reports to assist in preparation of tax projections
- Perform tax research and planning, as needed, to solve client’s tax issues
- Correspond with tax authorities regarding notices, jurisdictional issues, and/or audits
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, and tour reconciliations
- Assist with tour preparation and planning, including budgets and state, local, and international tax clearances and reductions for touring artists
- Assist with various business‑management tasks (e.g., purchase and sale of real estate, royalty allocations, preparing RMD schedules, international employment documents)
- Provide informal supervision and training of Staff Accountant(s)
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned
- 4+ years in preparation and/or review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns, preferably for entertainment and high‑net‑worth individuals
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree with 4+ years in a similar role highly preferred
- Familiarity with Go Systems, Agilink, and/or CCH preferred
- CPA or CPA eligibility a plus
- Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
- Capability to learn new systems and process information quickly
- Solid interpersonal skills and key soft skills (communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical thinking)
- Thorough understanding of the bookkeeping process from start to finish

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $82,000 – $125,000
. Actual base pay may vary based on experience, subject‑matter expertise, geographic location, and skill set. Base pay is one component of total compensation, which may also include an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits. Candidate information is verified upon offer.
