Under the direction of the Accounting Administrator I, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining the CGI Advantage and Advantage Reporting System, providing technical support to departmental programs and accounting staff regarding system and financial data related matters, and ensuring accuracy, high performance, data and system integrity per business process and policy requirements. The position may require knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and experience with an enterprise financial system and reporting tool.
Eligibilityfor Hire
Eligibility may be determined by score on the Associate Accounting Analyst exam. Candidates without current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, voluntary demotions) must be on the state examination list to be eligible. Special Requirements- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
- College transcripts are required.
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Failure to submit will disqualify candidates. The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages, 12-point Arial font, include full name, job control number and working title on the first page. Resumes and cover letters are not accepted in place of the SOQ.
- Describe your experience with a specific example in managing data and/or tables in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or financial system.
- Describe your experience with a specific example in querying data and generating reports to research, identify and troubleshoot a discrepancy in financial data.
- Describe your experience with a specific example where you had initiated a measurable improvement in an accounting or financial process.
Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, reinstatement, or have other state civil services eligibility (e.g., SROA, Surplus) may apply. SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority.
