Description

Intermedia is seeking the newest Business Systems Analyst Intern to join a high‑pace & motivated team. This role supports the strategy, implementation, and enhancement of technology initiatives within our financial systems, delivering business process efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Support efforts to support projects on the financial systems roadmap.
  • Work with Finance and IT/Product teams to review and understand business needs and recommend process improvement and financial systems solutions.
  • Work with business users to justify the need for IT enhancements or new applications that increase productivity and improve financial functions.
  • Champion financial digital initiatives to improve and enhance effective and efficient systems and processes.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and IT to lead key improvements for financial, procurement, and reporting processes.
  • Plan, process mapping, configuration/development, testing, security, training, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Evaluate project complexity, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Develop a work‑plan with BA mentor to manage own and project activities, tasks, deliverables, and schedule.
  • Develop effective communication plan to meet project and stakeholder needs.
  • Plan/manage approval of requirements and change.
  • Identify and communicate risks and issues that may require changes to plans or scope.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Finance or related fields.
  • Looking to build skills in defining, scoping, and managing technology initiatives from a finance and accounting perspective.
  • Interest in project management and learning more hands‑on financial system implementations.
  • Critical thinking skills to assess and provide solutions to problems.
  • Deadline‑driven, self‑motivated, and technically savvy.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superior time‑management skills.
  • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with pivot tables and formulas.
  • Netsuite experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience or personal interest with creating advanced Python and machine learning models is a plus.
