Work Location: This position will be based at our Bethany or Cameron, MO locations.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Title: Compliance Officer

Job Purpose: Assist the chief compliance officer in overseeing the compliance of laws and regulations as they apply to the financial institution. Provides information to accurately determine the institution's extent of compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops, administers and monitors programs that ensure the financial institution's compliance with laws, regulations and rules governing operations and product offerings.
• Research federal and state banking laws and regulations, reviews the financial institution's policies and procedures, and ensures financial institution compliance with laws and regulations.
• Supervises financial institution's records retention and disposal program.
• Provides financial institution management with information to accurately determine the institution's extent of compliance. Schedules meetings with departments and supervisor, as necessary, to provide information on compliance changes that affect them.
• Is responsible for scheduling compliance audits of the financial institution and supplying information to the Board of Directors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with three to five years of related professional experience or equivalent experience, required.
• Extensive knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations, trade publications, and legal documents; must be able to effectively respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, courts, and outside consultants.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
