Financial Advocate – Build Relationships. Drive ResultsWe are looking for an experienced Financial Advocate (branch banker). Starting pay is $21.00/hour plus incentives. Financial Advocates have the opportunity to grow within the organization to positions that become their passion.

- Conduct consultative conversations with members to cross‑sell opportunities such as checking accounts, personal and auto loans, credit cards, refinances, debt consolidation loans, and refer mortgage and commercial loans to appropriate departments.
- Effectively communicate information on credit union products and services and meet or exceed referral and sales goals set by the branch.
- Understand and interpret credit reports to offer the best solutions to members.
- Efficiently process loan documents.
- Assist with branch opening and closing procedures as needed; support branch operations by performing administrative tasks and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about policies and procedures.
- Have up to 6 months of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- Experience in banking, retail, or direct sales environments highly preferred.
- High school education or GED
- Professional courtesy and tact are essential; work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, federal, state, and local laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards related to the area of responsibility is necessary. Proficiency with database software and the MS Office suite is also required.
The job requires sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, viewing customer information, talking or hearing. The employee also frequently stands and walks, and regularly lifts or moves up to 5 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds.
Working ConditionsMust be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental RequirementsMust perform functions independently or with limited supervision, work effectively as part of a team, read and carry out written and oral instructions, complete basic math, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must deliver information clearly, handle multiple priorities, use discretion on confidential matters, and maintain composure under deadline pressure.
