Summary:
The Grants Accountant III will Supervise a small team of grant accountants and oversees the review, collection, and reporting of government and foundation grants. This role ensures grant spending aligns with contract guidelines and adheres to regulations, including the Uniform Grants Guidance and nonprofit accounting principles. The position involves daily management of the Grants Billing Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee grant accounting functions and staff management.
- Review contracts and ensure accurate financial reporting and billing.
- Prepare monthly grant budget reports, monitor variances, and provide solutions.
- Serve as the liaison to grantors and support grant audits.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations and assist with financial analysis.
- Collaborate across departments and provide backup support as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Supervision Experience (Required)
- 3+ years of Accounting Experience
- Direct Experience working with Grants/Funds (Required)
- Non-Profit Experience (required)
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
