As Compliance Manager Precious Metals, you will be part of the compliance function of Heraeus Precious Metals. The compliance function is the central contact point for integrity, regulatory requirements, and responsible business processes. It supports the organization in recognizing compliance risks early, implementing legal and internal requirements, and providing orientation for responsible action.

In this role, you will support the executive management and Heraeus Precious Metals Compliance Officer in the development and operational implementation of an effective, business-oriented compliance management system. You will advise and accompany the (local) management, international locations, and relevant specialist functions on compliance-related issues, the implementation of regulatory requirements, and group-wide standards. You will report to the Compliance Officer Heraeus Precious Metals and work closely with the executive management, (local) management, and other specialist functions and stakeholders.

What you can achieve:

  • Advising Heraeus Precious Metals employees and management on compliance-related issues from the day-to-day business.
  • Advising and continuously monitoring regulatory developments and deriving necessary measures for the compliance-compliant implementation of group-wide requirements and standards.
  • Participating in risk analyses and process improvements to identify weaknesses and derive appropriate measures.
  • Creating, maintaining, and developing specific guidelines, standards, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and implementing specific compliance training programs and awareness measures, and ensuring effective communication of compliance policies and standards.
  • Conducting compliance monitoring and reporting to the HPM Compliance Officer.
  • Supporting the relevant departments and national and international locations in implementing, reviewing, and further developing safety standards in the precious metals sector.

What you bring:

  • Completed studies in economics, law, or a comparable field with a focus on compliance, governance, or risk management.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or governance, ideally in an industrial company; experience in the precious metals sector is advantageous.
  • Experience in the operational implementation of compliance measures and a good understanding of operational business processes and controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance, particularly regarding regulatory requirements in the areas of corruption, fraud/breach of trust, money laundering, and conflicts of interest.
  • Experience in advising management, departments, and international stakeholders on compliance-related issues and in accompanying change and transformation processes.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills in German and English, as well as a confident, target-appropriate demeanor towards management, departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, high integrity, and a sense of responsibility, as well as an independently responsible, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
  • High willingness to learn and interest in familiarizing yourself with industry-specific regulatory requirements and new subject areas.
  • Relevant certifications CCEP/CCEP-I (Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics) or similar qualifications are advantageous.
