Position: SUPERVISOR I
Location: California

Position Overview

Supervisor I – Fiscal Operations, Division of Land Resource Protection. Responsible for overseeing the fiscal functions of the Division, directing, organizing, and supervising fiscal staff.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee fiscal functions of the Division.
  • Direct, organize and supervise the Division’s fiscal staff.
  • Manage appropriations, budgets, expenditures, encumbrances and other financial obligations.
  • Lead and manage financial professionals or complex financial projects/processes.
  • Work with financial databases and FI$Cal.
  • Utilize Excel for financial analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
  • New to California state service: must have taken and passed the examination for this classification.
  • Current state employee without transfer eligibility or list eligibility: must have taken and passed the examination for this classification.
  • Knowledge and experience managing appropriations, budgets, expenditures, encumbrances and other financial obligations.
  • Experience managing a team of financial professionals or leading a complex financial project or process.
  • Experience working with financial databases and FI$Cal.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
Working Conditions

Located in Sacramento, CA at 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Eligible for a hybrid telework schedule with required in‑person work. Applicants must reside in California.

Salary

$7,172.00 – $8,910.00 per month (minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable).
