Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Where And How You Can Work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we also have a hub in San Francisco that hosts our US operations. We offer flexibility in how and where you work, trusting our Canvanauts to choose a balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

About The Team

FP&A is on a journey to deliver a step‑change in financial sophistication and rigor to support Canva’s continued growth. By linking strategy, goals, planning and execution, we act as trusted business partners whose perspectives are valued and sought after.

Corporate FP&A brings cohesion, clarity and guidance to the rest of FP&A, from leading P&L performance review and driving the FP&A rhythm to directing focus of teams to deliver a strong investor narrative. With a strategic mindset, deep financial and business acumen, and clear communication, the team partners closely with founders, executive leadership, the Board, the CFO, and Investor Relations to help guide Canva’s growth.

About

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to own the FP&A close & reporting engine, contribute to the financial forecasting workstream, and build executive, board and shareholder materials. You’ll have line of sight across the full corporate story and work closely with all of FP&A, Finance Systems, Accounting, and Finance Leads.

You’re motivated by using data to help leaders make better decisions. You enjoy owning work end‑to‑end, take pride in producing high‑quality outputs, and are energized by turning complexity into clarity. You’re excited by the chance to grow from executing analysis to influencing how the business plans, measures success, and tells its story.

What You’ll Be Doing In This Role

At the moment, this role is focused on the following responsibilities:

  • Owning end‑to‑end corporate FP&A reporting work streams and cycles, from data gathering through to insights and recommendations.
  • Delivering core financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis that helps leaders understand performance and key business drivers.
  • Continuously improving our corporate FP&A reporting processes and tools to lift our reporting and planning capability.
  • Supporting the preparation of materials for senior leadership and the board, including first drafts of selected analyses, visuals and commentary, into clear and compelling stories.
  • Partnering closely with FP&A, Finance, and business teams to align insights, forecasts, and priorities, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
You’re probably a match if you
  • Have experience in FP&A, consulting, investment banking, or a rotational finance program in corporate organisations, and are excited to deepen your impact in a high‑growth environment.
  • Bring strong financial and analytical foundations, with the ability to explain P&L movements and connect results to underlying business drivers.
  • Have a structured, improvement‑oriented mindset, focused on making recurring work more scalable, reliable, and efficient.
  • Possess clear written and verbal communication skills, with an instinct for turning data into insights that resonate with senior stakeholders.
  • Have solid technical instincts and ownership mentality, with confidence in Excel and large datasets; SQL and Anaplan experience are a plus and you’re ambitious to grow your impact as Canva scales.
What’s in it for you?

We offer a range of benefits to support you in and outside of work:

  • Equity packages – we want our success to be yours too.
  • Health benefits plans to support you and your well‑being.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution.
  • Inclusive parental leave policy that supports all parents & carers.
  • An annual Vibe & Thrive allowance to support your well‑being, social connection, office set‑up & more.
  • Flexible leave options that empower you to be a force for good, take time to recharge and support you personally.
Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000. When calculating offers, we use market data and your skills and experience to determine compensation within that range.

Other Stuff To Know

We make hiring decisions based on your experience, skills, merit and business needs, in compliance with applicable local laws. We celebrate all types of skills and backgrounds at Canva, so even if you don’t feel your skills quite match what’s listed above, we still want to hear from you.

When you apply, please tell us the pronouns you use and any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process. Please note that interviews are conducted virtually.

We value fairness and strive to provide competitive, market‑informed compensation whilst ensuring internal equity within the team in each region.
