Director, Strategic Finance – Investor Relations

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end quarterly earnings process: press release, supplemental financial information, prepared remarks (CEO and CFO scripts)
• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to develop the company's guidance
• Lead the Q&A preparation process — anticipated questions, suggested answers, peer transcript triangulation
• Serve as a primary point of contact for sell-side analysts and institutional investors
• Articulate the Cloudflare investment narrative in a credible way
• Plan and execute the calendar of investor events
• Co‑lead the planning and execution of our annual Investor Day
• Monitor and synthesize analyst coverage, peer performance, investor sentiment, market dynamics, and industry trends

• 10+ years of experience combining investor relations, equity research, investment banking, FP&A, corporate finance, or equity investing
• Deep technical fluency with public-company reporting, financial statements, capital markets, valuation methodologies, and SaaS / consumption-based revenue models
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to draft in the voice of senior executives
• Advanced financial modeling skills — fluency in building, maintaining, and stress-testing operating models
• An ownership mindset — comfort owning a process end-to-end
• High-trust collaboration — build credibility quickly with senior internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
• AI-native curiosity and skill — fluency with modern AI tooling
• Sound judgment with confidential information — clear understanding of materiality and fair disclosure
• Sector background in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, or AI preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred
