Senior Private Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead
Leads a dedicated client practice team, providing first‑class client experience and financial advisory services to high net‑worth clients in Southern California.
Responsibilities- Serve as the lead advisor within a dedicated client team, collaborating with a Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist.
- Build lasting relationships with a book of high net worth Empower clients.
- Provide client onboarding, financial planning, and investor education.
- Manage relationships via phone, email and virtual meetings.
- Retain assets under management and acquire additional assets through proactive communication.
- Act as liaison between clients and internal groups/departments within Empower Personal Wealth.
- Represent the ‘Personal Strategy’ investment strategy; recommend, implement, and review investment strategies that align with clients’ risk tolerance.
- Provide holistic financial planning (retirement, income optimization, tax‑advantaged savings, education planning).
- Effectively delegate, coach, train, and develop colleagues.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients face‑to‑face.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of financial services and client experience.
- Direct client contact experience with a professional demeanor.
- Advanced knowledge of wealth management strategies, financial planning, tax and income optimization, and estate planning.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client needs, deliver on multi‑product goals, and analyze and present investment portfolios.
- Experience with high‑net‑worth clients, complicated planning, net promoter score, and client retention.
- Active FINRA Series
65 required; FINRA fingerprinting required. - CFP strongly preferred.
- Exceptional at delivering effective client consultations, establishing trust and building long‑term relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑starter with strong situational awareness, organizational and presentation skills.
- Base salary range: $125,400 – $181,875 per year.
