Our client, a dynamic organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated Collections Agent to join their team. As a Collections Agent, you will be an integral part of the Accounts Receivable department supporting the collections process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, resilience, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Collections Agent

Location: Centralia, MO

Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Mon-Fri, Hybrid - Monday and Friday remote, in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

• Manage a portfolio of accounts, assessing receivables and prioritizing work to meet objectives.
• Analyze accounts to identify trends, issues, and root causes, and develop solutions to improve outcomes.
• Plan and execute weekly customer outreach, documenting progress and providing status updates.
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve account issues and negotiate resolutions within scope of authority.
• Perform core AR tasks including reconciliations, credit holds/releases, statements, dunning, and bad debt recommendations.

• At least 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience, including invoicing, aging, and cash application.
• 1+ year credit/collections experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Experience with JD Edwards (AR) is highly desirable.
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry, simple formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
