Position Summary
The Finance/School Liaison plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the district. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable processes for elementary and middle schools, providing expert financial guidance, and serving as a key communicative link between the finance department and school leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable Functions
- Accurately enter and process invoices for all elementary and middle school locations.
- Review and process travel-related expense reimbursements in accordance with district policy.
- Oversee the management and reconciliation of departmental purchase cards (P-Cards).
- Perform high-level review and approval of invoice batches and P-Card statements at the finance department level.
- School Liaison Functions
- Onboard and provide comprehensive training for new budget liaisons across the district.
- Facilitate level-specific meetings to encourage peer learning and sharing of best practices.
- Coordinate and deliver specialized short-term training sessions for budget staff as required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the finance office and administrators.
- Provide essential coverage and support during finance-related vacancies within the district.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
