Tax Partner – M&A and Transactions

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives to optimize tax efficiency
• Provide expert advice on federal income tax issues, including structuring, planning, and risk management
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact
• Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to structure tax-efficient deals and transactions
• Provide strategic guidance on post-merger integration and restructuring
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on tax planning and M&A matters
• Conduct client meetings and presentations explaining complex tax concepts
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services
• Lead and mentor tax professionals on technical matters and professional development
• Foster collaboration, innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning
• Identify and assess tax risks associated with business activities and transactions

• Bachelor’s degree
• Advanced degree (e.g., JD, LLM, MBA, or MST)
• 12+ years of tax experience, with a significant focus on M&A transactions
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal tax
• Proven track record of leading tax structuring for complex transactions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to present complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals

Demonstrates expertise in U.S. federal tax law and M&A transactions, providing strategic tax planning and risk management. Capable of leading tax structuring for complex deals while fostering client relationships and mentoring tax professionals.
