We're partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed consumer brand in the CPG space. Backed by active institutional investors and led by a data-driven founder, the company has built real momentum across an omnichannel footprint spanning ecommerce, Amazon, and national retail.

As the business enters its next phase of scale, finance is becoming a central driver of strategic decision-making. The company is investing in its finance leadership and is now looking for a hands-on VP of Finance to serve as the founder's key finance-and-data partner: someone who owns the numbers end to end and turns them into a clear, forward-looking narrative for the founders, the board, and lenders as the company pursues its next stage of growth and financing.

Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting above the Controller, the VP of Finance runs the finance function with FP&A and cash at its core. This is a hands-on, do-the-work-yourself seat rather than a build-a-team-and-delegate one: you will personally own the operating model and produce decision-ready output for the founder, board, and investors.

• Own the driver-based operating model, annual budget, reforecasts, and rolling cash and runway forecast.
• Deliver variance analysis, scenario planning, and channel- and SKU-level contribution margin across DTC/subscription, Amazon, and wholesale.
• Partner with sales and operations to translate forecasts into the operating plan and demand/inventory planning.
• Build the quarterly investor update and board package as a finished narrative, then present and defend the numbers.
• Lead debt-facility and non-dilutive financing work: evaluate and manage structures such as PO and AR financing, asset-based inventory lines, and user-acquisition/marketing financing; run lender diligence and data rooms.
• Oversee the Controller and ensure clean, timely, decision-ready reporting.
• Act as the company's lead finance-and-data partner, turning complex data into clear insight for the founder and leadership team.

• Omnichannel CPG finance experience, ideally at a brand scaling roughly to $100M in revenue, spanning DTC/subscription economics, Amazon, and wholesale.
• Deep retail and trade fluency: trade spend, deductions and chargebacks, promo accruals, gross-to-net, distributor economics, contribution margin by retailer, and the working-capital dynamics of national accounts.
• Strong FP&A ownership: driver-based modeling, cash and runway forecasting, and the link from sales forecasting into demand planning.
• Investor and board fluency: builds and defends board and investor materials as finished narratives, with experience supporting or leading equity raises and/or debt facilities.
• The rare combination of strategic range and hands-on detail, able to be in the weeds and zoom out in the same day.
• Exceptional written communication: leads with the headline, summary first, and never ships a raw file.
• Comfort in a lean, founder-led, fast-moving environment;
  Los Angeles-based and able to be in-office regularly (open to relocation for the right person).

• Background in food & beverage, supplements, or broader health and wellness, with relationships across the CPG ecosystem.
• Accounting foundation and comfort overseeing the close and controllership.
• A high-intensity background (e.g. investment banking).

$200,000 to $250,000 base + performance bonus + meaningful equity
