- Manage, enhance, and further develop PIMCO’s suite of defined contribution investment strategies
- Identify demand for new solutions and enhancements to existing offerings
- Develop positioning, investment narratives, and go-to-market strategies
- Work with plan sponsors, consultants, advisors, and retirement stakeholders to assess investment needs and recommend solutions
- Deliver DC expertise and communicate perspectives on plan design, participant outcomes, and retirement investing
- Partner with Product Strategy, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Account Management, Corporate Retirement, and Consultant Relations teams
- Serve as a subject matter expert for PIMCO’s DC platform
- Support client retention and growth efforts
- Collaborate with investment professionals, Client Relationship Managers, and Portfolio Managers
- Develop client-facing presentations, white papers, educational content, and thought leadership publications
- Collaborate on PIMCO’s annual DC consulting study and present findings
- Represent PIMCO at industry conferences, client events, and forums
- Participate in research projects related to retirement markets, industry trends, and emerging opportunities
- Provide internal support on DC, retirement income, and retirement solutions topics
- Provide forward-looking insights on investor demand, competitors, and DC market trends
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the institutional DC space within asset management, institutional sales, relationship management, client management, consultant relations, business development, or a related field
- Experience developing, managing, positioning and/or commercializing investment solutions and products for the U.S. DC market
- Experience with target date funds, retirement income strategies, active fixed income solutions and other core menu offerings
- Deep understanding of the competitive landscape across the DC product ecosystem
- Strong knowledge of the institutional and advisor-led DC landscape
- Strong consultative sales skills and commercial mindset
- Deep knowledge of DC trends, plan design and mechanics, investment vehicles, capital markets, and economics
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize opportunities, manage multiple client relationships, and execute against ambitious business objectives
- Commitment to professionalism, ethics, and integrity
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and work effectively across global and cross-functional teams
- Self-starter with personal accountability, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to leverage data, technology, and AI-enabled tools
- Active FINRA Series 7, 63, and 3 licenses required
- CFA designation, MBA, or other advanced degree is desirable
