Financial Analyst

• Ensure all financial transactions are entered into the financial system accurately and in accordance with GAAP
• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to senior management
• Support Finance team department projects and initiatives
• Participate in monthly close, with emphasis on revenue areas
• Work with department heads to develop, adjust, and track performance metrics
• Prepare monthly KPI revenue reports and present results to the organization
• Assist in reviewing revenue contracts for completeness and compliance with revenue acceptance policies
• Provide accounting and finance customer service to departments and affiliated entities
• Provide management reports upon request
• Ensure incoming revenue is recorded in compliance with internal policies and GAAP
• Assist with cash forecasting
• Assist with state and local tax reporting, including property tax, sales and use tax filings, and annual reports
• Prepare and record journal entries
• Assist with annual audit and tax return preparation
• Assist with annual budget and mid-year forecasting
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related business field
• 5+ years of general accounting experience
• 3+ years of demonstrated financial reporting expertise
• Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel
• Familiarity of data analytics software(s)
• Knowledge of Financial Edge or similar accounting system
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including interpersonal and a customer service mindset
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and organization
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure of tight deadlines
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time and work at a computer for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Demonstrates expertise in financial reporting and analysis, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Proficient in managing financial transactions, preparing KPI reports, and supporting departmental financial initiatives.
