Under the general direction of the Public Records Officer/Manager, a Supervisor I, the incumbent acts as the HQ Media Public Records Coordinator for the Department and has statewide responsibility for formulating, implementing and administering the public records act guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with the Public Records Act. The incumbent provides direction and guidance to district and division Public Records Coordinators (PRC) to ensure timely responses to media public records requests.
The incumbent responds to media requests and/or the most sensitive requests received by the department and ensures statewide consistency for responses to media and/or sensitive requests.
