Position Title

Strategic Growth Council - Resilient Community Associate Planner (ANALYST II)

Summary

Under the direction of the Supervisor II (Community Resilience Center’s Senior Program Manager), the Analyst II collaborates with state partners, program applicants, grantees, tribal entities, and other stakeholders on the development of program guidelines, review and coordination of project recommendations for award, project coordination, monitoring, and evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Work with state partners, program applicants, grantees, tribes, and interested parties on the development of program guidelines.
  • Review and coordinate project recommendations for award, including project coordination, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Assist in preparing project approvals and reporting, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor II and other staff to support the Community Resilience Center’s initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned related to community resilience and climate innovation.
Minimum

Required Qualifications

Qualifications and experience as specified in the Classification Specification for the Analyst II level. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications, including required education, experience in policy analysis, project management, community planning, and knowledge of climate resilience and environmental justice.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Broad understanding of climate and community planning, urban greening, workforce development, sustainable energy development, and environmental and resiliency planning.
  • Broad understanding of construction management.
  • Broad understanding of government functions.
  • Broad understanding of grant applications and administration at the federal, state, and private levels.
  • Experience developing materials, presentations, and tools to communicate program objectives and requirements to diverse audiences.
  • Experience providing technical assistance and consultation to grant applicants and external groups.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with awardees, consultants, stakeholder groups, community-based organizations, local governments, and regional agencies.
  • Experience engaging with diverse communities and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Experience working on initiatives related to community-based organizations, local governments, or regional agencies.
Working Conditions

Persons appointed to this position must be reasonably expected to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The role involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing. Occasional overnight travel up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month.

Hybrid (telework with in-office requirements).
