OverviewThe Analyst II supports the California Department of Public Health’s Laboratory Safety and Emergency Response Unit (LSER) by performing complex analytical and technical assignments related to emergency planning, fire drills, evacuation teams, contract management, and budget oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Research, plan, and train on campus emergency response plans.
- Coordinate fire drills for all buildings.
- Coordinate evacuation teams’ supplies and conduct meetings/training.
- Prepare documentation of contracts and solicitations.
- Perform contract budgeting and invoice processing.
- Respond to annual drills related to contract budgets.
Works under the direction of the Supervisor I, Chief of the LSER Unit.
Working ConditionsTelework:
Eligible for telework or hybrid arrangement per Department policy; all teleworkers must be California residents. Travel may be required; travel reimbursement follows Department policy; all commute expenses to the designated headquarters office are the responsibility of the candidate.
Required:
Analyst II classification, experience and education as outlined in the Class Specification. Candidates must meet minimum qualifications stated in the Classification Specification.
