Salary: $11,437.00 - $14,315.00 per month (new to state employees will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification)

Responsibilities

The primary duties of this section include:

Implementing California’s air toxics program and developing airborne control measures.
Working closely with impacted communities to identify, understand, and reduce health impacts from air toxics.
Conducting and reviewing health risk assessments on a variety of stationary and mobile emission sources.
Coordinating with other CARB divisions, U.S. EPA, CalEPA, OEHHA, air districts, and government agencies on risk assessment practices and air toxics programs.
Managing technical projects, translating results into plain‑language policy recommendations, and leading cross‑divisional teams.

Minimum Requirements

AIR RESOURCES SUPERVISOR I
Experience managing technical projects and providing policy recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑divisional teams.

Desirable Qualifications

Effective leadership and mentorship skills.
Experience in health risk analysis, regulatory development, non‑diesel toxics, and air quality, toxics, and climate protection programs.
Ability to negotiate solutions to sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
Strong written communication using direct, concise, non‑technical language.
Strategic thinking and clear articulation to audiences at all levels.
Experience building inclusive team‑oriented environments and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally.
Knowledge of health risk analysis, regulatory development, and related state, federal, and local programs.
