Senior Tax Compliance Representative
Location:
Sacramento, CA. Salary: $6,646.00 - $8,324.00 per month. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with telework opportunities subject to department discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform the most complex, difficult, and sensitive compliance assignments using a high degree of judgment and extensive knowledge of the California Unemployment Insurance code (CUIC), statutes, regulations, and compliance procedures.
- Coordinate and conduct Tax Performance System (TPS) reviews, collaborating with TPS reviewers to assess the quality of UI tax operations and provide input and recommendations.
- Examine accounts and operations for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness, and advise on improvements.
- Develop and maintain tracking systems that assess and report on Division performance, providing tools to plan and direct strategic goals.
- Analyze and assess the Division’s performance to better serve the employer community.
- Identify areas within the Division that require technical training, then develop and facilitate the necessary training.
- Act as a project leader or single point of contact for division-wide, sensitive projects and task forces related to the development, evaluation, or implementation of tax-specific programs and policies.
- Adhere to California Government Code §14200 telework requirements and manage travel to/from the assigned headquarters as necessary.
