Salary is for California residents. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum of the classification range.
Locations:
Hybrid telework; main office at 1501 Capitol Avenue, Suite 71, Sacramento, CA 95814.
This role investigates discrimination complaints and serves as the Department’s Reasonable Accommodation and Religious Accommodation Coordinator.
Responsibilities- Investigate discrimination complaints within DHCS and contracted agencies.
- Coordinate reasonable accommodation (RA) and religious accommodation (RE) requests, providing guidance and technical assistance to staff and the public.
- Analyze confidential RA/RE cases, collaborating with Procurement and Contracting during contract and procurement processes.
- Manage OCR agreements, review invoices, track contract and purchase‑order expenditures.
- Assist with bilingual services, annual Workforce Analysis, and the Upward Mobility Program.
- Serve as OCR liaison for executive drills and act as backup liaison to the Disability Advisory Committee (DAC).
- Travel statewide as required.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in investigation, litigation, or compliance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of civil rights laws, reasonable accommodation, and mediation/settlement processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to research, analyze, and interpret information.
