This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission by acting independently as a coordinator, advisor, and technical expert for all Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) issues within the Office of AIDS (OA). The incumbent provides general oversight, planning, administration, and monitoring of HOPWA and supplies technical assistance to housing and local government agencies on the development of housing programs for people with HIV.
Responsibilities include coordination with contractors, stakeholders, and internal partners, and utilization of Microsoft Office Suite to develop program materials, analyze data, prepare reports, and support HOPWA administration.
- Provide oversight and coordination of HOPWA program activities.
- Develop and deliver technical assistance to housing and local government agencies.
- Prepare program materials, reports, and data analyses using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, and internal partners.
- Monitor program performance and ensure compliance with HOPWA regulations.
- Support the administration and oversight of HOPWA activities.
- Analyst II level experience equivalent to the job classification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience in program planning, administration, and monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
