Location: Whiteman Air Force Base
Duties duty 1: plans, organizes, and oversees the full complement of activities within the force support squadron. Such complements could include but are not limited to prime ribs, personnel/human resources, education & training, airman, family readiness, communications, security forces and, in some instances, civil engineering, etc. Duty 2: exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Duty 3: makes a periodic, comprehensive assessment and evaluation of program goals/objectives which provide a basis for long-range planning to enhance the organization's management support capabilities.
Duty 4: represents the force support squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Requirements conditions of employment

* this is a supervisory position. A 1 year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.

This is an air reserve technician (art) officer position located at 442 maintenance sq with the military rank: lt col/o-5, afsc: 038f3 for questions concerning military eligibility please contact the air force reserve qualification center at In order to qualify, you must meet the special experience requirements described in the office of personnel management (opm) qualification standards for general schedule positions, administrative and management positions.
Specialized experience: at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade or equivalent which includes the planning, directing, organizing, coordinating maintenance activities and funding of aircraft maintenance functions and comprehensive and detailed knowledge of aircraft maintenance functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the gs-11 or above grade/ level or equivalent position in the federal service.
Federal time-in-grade (tig) requirement for general schedule (gs) positions: applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade level or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the federal civil service to be considered for referral. Tig applies if you are in a current gs position or held a gs position within the previous 52 weeks.
