Job Description and Duties

  • Under the direction of the Investigations Manager of Office of Civil Rights (OCR), the incumbent/Retired Annuitant (RA) serves as a consultant on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) issues for the Department of Water Resources (DWR).
  • The RA will independently conduct investigations that are complex in nature.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigative plans.
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams and/or travel to conduct investigation interviews.
  • Gather and review documentation relevant to investigations.
  • Prepare Reports of Findings for investigations.
  • Present findings to OCR management.
  • Draft intake summary for management review containing jurisdiction determinations, a detailed summary of allegations, and recommendations for further action.
  • Respond to external EEO related complaints.
  • Receive and process management inquiries related to the DWR EEO policies.
  • Update EEO program manuals and other program materials; perform legislative analysis, and work with outside agencies as required.
